Lens Life Tech LLC ("we," "us," or "our") provides the LensQuiz iOS app. LensQuiz helps students, parents and teachers scan test questions, keep an error book, and practise with explanations, tutorials and stories. AI features are for adults (parents, teachers and adult learners); students practise with content their parent or teacher creates. This section explains what information LensQuiz collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information. If you sign in, you use Sign in with Apple. We receive an Apple user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address (which may be an Apple private relay address).
  • Content you add. Photos and text of questions you scan or import, answers, tags, exams and results, tutorials, Story Mode progress, and student profiles you create (for example, a student's first name or nickname).
  • Classroom information. If you use Classrooms: class names, join codes, the display names students use in a class, and assignment work and results, which the class's teacher can see.
  • Purchase information. Your plan, subscription status and App Store transaction identifiers. Payments are handled by Apple; we never receive your payment card details.
  • Usage and diagnostics. Which screens and features are used (for example, "tutorial viewed" or "exam completed"), app version, device model, operating system, and approximate region derived from your IP address, collected with Google Firebase Analytics; and crash reports collected with Firebase Crashlytics. These records contain counts and outcomes only, not question text, answers or names.
  • Advertising. The free plan shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use device information and, only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, your device's advertising identifier to show and measure ads.
  • Device integrity. Apple App Attest and DeviceCheck help us confirm requests come from a genuine copy of the app and limit abuse of free credits.

In guest mode (without signing in), your content stays on your device and is not uploaded.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide the app: store and sync your content across your devices, run exams, track progress and power Classrooms.
  • To provide AI features, as described in section 3 below.
  • To manage plans, AI credits and purchases.
  • To understand how the app is used, fix problems and improve features.
  • To show ads on the free plan.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI Features

  • Who can use them. AI features are only for adults: parents, teachers and adult learners, who confirm they are 18 or older before turning AI features on. Student profiles, including students in a class, cannot send anything to the AI.
  • Your permission first. Nothing is sent to the AI until you allow AI features in the app. You can turn them off at any time in Settings › AI Features, which stops all AI requests.
  • What is sent. When you ask for an explanation, tutorial, story, tags, translation or coaching report, we send the content needed for that request through our servers to Google's Gemini API: question text, photos or diagrams from scanned pages, answers and practice results used for coaching and tutorials, and questions you type to the AI tutor.
  • What is not sent. We do not send names, email addresses or account details to the AI; coaching reports refer to "the student" rather than a name. Anything written on a page you scan is sent as part of the photo, so we recommend leaving names out of photos.
  • Ready-made answers. When a parent or teacher creates a tutorial, LensQuiz may use AI on their account to write answers to a few preset questions. Students can tap these questions to read the answers; this does not send anything to the AI.
  • Accuracy. AI responses can be wrong. Please check important answers.

4. Service Providers

We use these providers to run LensQuiz. They process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies:

Information is stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States.

5. Children

LensQuiz is designed for use by students together with a parent, guardian or teacher. Student profiles are created and managed by an adult account holder, and a student who joins a class does so with a code provided by their teacher. Students do not use AI features; they may see tutorials, stories and ready-made answers that their parent or teacher created with AI. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 beyond what is needed to provide the service at the direction of their parent or teacher. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Retention and Deletion

  • We keep your account data until you delete it.
  • Delete your account in the app: Settings › Account › Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, the content stored in the cloud, classrooms you teach and your students' class memberships, and revokes Sign in with Apple.
  • Delete data on your device: Settings › Danger Zone › Reset All Local Data.
  • Subscriptions are billed by Apple and must be cancelled in your Apple ID settings; deleting your account does not cancel them.
  • Aggregated statistics that do not identify you, and records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons, may be retained.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • You can allow or deny ad tracking when iOS asks, and change it later in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
  • You can turn AI features on or off in Settings › AI Features.
  • You can use LensQuiz as a guest without signing in.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information. Contact us to make a request.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to your cloud data is restricted to your account, and requests are checked with Firebase App Check. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above; significant changes will be noted in the app.

LensDoc

Lens Life Tech LLC ("we," "us," or "our") built the LensDoc app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by Lens Life Tech LLC and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

Camera and Photos Access

LensDoc requires access to your device's camera and photo library to function properly. We use this access strictly to capture and process documents and handwritten notes. All image processing for LensDoc is done locally on your device using CoreML. We do not upload, store, or share your photos or documents on our servers.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

LensDoc offers in-app purchases and subscriptions. We use Apple's native App Store functionality (StoreKit) to process these transactions securely. All purchases are managed and processed entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details (like credit card numbers), nor do we use third-party subscription management services.

Advertising

To help support the free features of LensDoc (such as the free document cleaning functionality), we display advertisements in the app. These ads are provided by third-party advertising partners, who may collect and use information about you, such as your device identifier, IP address, and location data, to provide personalized ads. You can manage your ad tracking preferences in your device settings.

2. Automatically Collected Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we may collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics to help us improve the app.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

6. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
